Dr. Brian D. Smith obtained his doctorate of optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.  He completed clinical rotations in ocular disease, pediatric vision care, and low vision.  While on externship at the renowned National Naval Medical Center in Maryland, he worked with specialists in the areas of glaucoma, cornea, pediatric vision care and medically indicated contact lens application.

 Dr. Smith's community activities include coaching youth baseball, the Cub Scouts and assisting the local Sunday school program.  He is a member of both the American and Wisconsin Optometric Associations.

Dr. April Svoboda Smith is a Polk County native who attended St. Croix Falls High School and Hamline Universtiy in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Dr. Smith is a graduate of Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, where she received the Outstanding Clinician of the Year Award.  She continued to perfect her clinical skills during externships located in Washington D.C. and Jacksonville, Florida.  Dr. Smith served those in need on volunteer V.O.S.H. service trips to Costa Rica and Belize.

  She resides in Polk County, Wisconsin and is very active in the community as Sunday School program coordinator, youth soccer coach, tee ball coach, and Cub Scout leader.  Professionally, Dr. Smith is a member of both the American and Wisconsin Optometric Associations.
